Offering financial assistance for any registered student who has attended or presented at an academic conference within the term that they are applying. Under no circumstance, will applicants be awarded in advance; this stipend is set up in the form of reimbursement. Students are encouraged to apply once all application materials are gathered and can be submitted together at time of application.

The Provost's Grant offers financial assistance for any registered student who has attended or presented at an academic conference within the term that they are applying. Under no circumstance, will applicants be awarded in advance; this stipend is set up in the form of reimbursement. Students are encouraged to apply once all application materials are gathered and can be submitted together at time of application.
Award stipends are to be utilized for reimbursement exclusively for the purposes of registration, membership, printing, and travel costs (excluding food/beverage, and luxury expenses i.e. first class tickets) associated with attending, presenting research at an academic conference. Reimbursements must be submitted with itemized copies of receipts for award consideration.
Students MUST BE registered for the term in which they are attending, presenting and requesting reimbursement. If you are a continuing student and attending or presenting during Winter academic recess, please submit your request for reimbursement during the Spring term. If you are attending or presenting during the Summer but not taking summer classes, please submit your request for reimbursement during the Fall term. If you are a continuing student, and attending or presenting during the Summer and not registered for a summer class, please submit your request for reimbursement during the Fall term.
**If a student is requesting reimbursement for their final semester with anticipated graduation, all reimbursement requests and supporting documents must be submitted by the last day noted below for potential award consideration. Conference dates MUST precede Commencement/degree conferral; students who have received degree conferral are no longer eligible for financial stipends.**
Students cannot apply in advance of their conference and receive funding preemptively. All requests will be honored as a reimbursement, pending all necessary documentation. Students MUST BE registered (at least 1-credit COE or 8900-level) for the term in which they are presenting and seeking reimbursement (i.e., if you are applying for a summer conference, you MUST be registered in either Summer A/B).
Students must be in good academic, financial, and judicial standing with the University. Full-time employees of the College are not eligible for this award, or any other financial stipend offered through TC NEXT or the Office of Graduate Student Life & Development.
APPLICATION DEADLINES (2022 – 2023):
Grant applications will be reviewed in three rounds of applications throughout each semester for the academic with the following deadlines:
Fall: 9/23/2022, 10/25/2022, and 12/7/2022
All completed applications must be entered before December 6th, 2022 for all reimbursements for the Fall semester. If your application is not completed by December 6, and you are graduating, we cannot release grant money to you.
Spring: 2/24/2023, 3/31/2023, 5/3/2023
All completed applications must be entered before May 3, 2023, for all reimbursements for the Fall semester. If your application is not completed by May 3, 2023, and you are graduating, we cannot release grant money to you.
