TC Graduate Writing Center

The graduate writing center serves as a great place to receive  one-on-one writing-related assistance such as:

  • Brainstorming
  • Organizing
  • Revising
  • Drafting

In addition, the writing center holds multiple writing workshops throughout the school year. Counseling Services

As a TC students, you have access to free counseling (if you have paid the health fee) services offered through Columbia University. They offer individual counseling and support services. To schedule your initial appointment call 212-854-2878

Institute for Urban and Minority Education (IUME)

Located on the first floor of Zankel, IUME is a center dedicated to producing critical research around educational equity. Feel free to drop by their office to relax or to connect with educators, researchers, students, and faculty who are interested in improving the current state of education for all students, but especially students who have been historically underserved in our schools.It is also worth noting that IUME is home to many groups such as Cyphers for Justice and The School Empowerment Project that are all dedicated to collaborating with the greater community to elevate the perspectives of students of color.  If you’d like more information, visit their website: http://iume.tc.columbia.edu.
