New York State Penal Laws About Sexual Violence Crimes & Bias Crimes - Article 485 Penal Law
While the federal law sets the definitions for crimes relevant to the Clery Act and the Violence Against Women Act, New York Education Law, Article 129A, requires colleges to provide information about state laws governing sexual assault, domestic violence, stalking, and bias related offenses, as well as the penalties for violations of those laws.
