Media Services has a large inventory of Audio-Visual equipment which is available for use by the faculty, staff, and students of Teacher's College. Any member of the TC community with a valid and current ID can borrow our equipment.
TC users may borrow an LCD projector cart with a dual-boot Mac Mini for classroom presentation use only. Neither faculty, students, nor staff members are allowed to borrow our mobile carts for use off the TC campus. Borrowers should not load software or alter the computer's configuration or settings without advance permission from Media Services. Special software needs must be requested at least a week in advance of expected use.
Media Services also provides TC users with Apple adapters, VGA/DVI cables for laptop connection, assorted A-V cables, portable PA systems, microphones, analog audio-cassette players/recorders, digital voice recorders, boom boxes, web-cams, Powerpoint remotes, document cameras and digital cameras. This equipment is subject to availability and should always be picked up and returned by the users from our 149 Horace Mann Help Desk.
All equipment is lent out on a per diem basis, loans for more than one day or over weekends or for off-campus use must be arranged in advance. No equipment may leave the TC campus without written permission from Media Services. For TC students/staff failure to return equipment borrowed on time can lead to penalties and fines which will cause inconveniences when registering for classes. In addition, your privileges to borrow our equipment or to use our facilities will be revoked.
Only TC Faculty may borrow a laptop and/or a portable LCD projector for off-campus use. Laptops/projector requests are not honored for either TC students or staff there are no exceptions. All laptop / projector requests for faculty are subject to availability.
