Dr. Robin Stern holds a doctorate in Applied Psychology and Research Design. Robin is a founding board member of The Woodhull Institute and is also on the board of directors of Educators for Social Responsibility. She is on the faculty at Teacher's College,
Robin is the co-developer, along with Dr. Janet Patti, of the Star Factor Coaching Model for educational leaders. Robin consults on issues of emotional intelligence and leadership in schools, corporations, museums, and digital media companies. Currently with Andrs Richner and Amisha Jha, she is spearheading original research in the area of attention, emotions, and psychological manipulation.
Robin is the co-author of two books on emotional intelligence in education: Understanding Emotions in the Classroom (with C. Shelton, National Professional Resources 2004) and Emotionally Intelligent School Counseling (ed. with J.Pellitteri, C.Shelton, B. Muller-Ackerman, Lawrence Erlbaum 2005). Robin is currently writing a book on emotional abuse and psychological manipulation (The Gaslight Effect, Random House 2007). She is the mother of two wonderful children, Scott and Melissa.
