Welcome to Teachers College and New York City! This social hour will be held at 2pm starting August 28th. Come enjoy tea and conversation with current students. The event will be facilitated by Ms. Sayaka Aoki, a fourth year doctoral student in the Psychology program. She is also from Japan, and will share her TC experiences, along with other students to help you to have a successful academic life at TC and in the Big Apple. Topic 1: Getting to know the classroom setting at TC: What can we expect to happen in the classroom? Topic 2: Overcome the challenges &#8220;inside&#8221; classroom: Methods to survive in speedy lectures and energetic discussions in English. Topic 3: Are you feeling alone in the new environment? Find ways to make friends. Topic 4: Handle unique social difficulties in the TC academic culture: Tips and Strategies to build meaningful relationships with faculties and colleagues. Topic 5: How can we finish all of these assignments while keeping your own free time?-Learn more about unique time management skills to handle daily academic tasks. Topic 6: Family Gathering in NYC: Where to go and what to do? How can we have a good time with them within a limited amount of time?
