Research Discipline/Bio

Jade Charon Robertson is an award-winning choreographer, filmmaker, author, educator, entrepreneur, and mother, hailing from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She is an Associate Professor of Dance and Media Technology at Medgar Evers College and the Founder and Artistic Director of 30:11 By Jade Charon and By Jade Charon Company. She is currently pursuing the Interdisciplinary specialization doctoral degree in the Ed.D. Dance Education Program at Teachers College, Columbia University, with research interests in digital choreography that combines dance films and new media technologies, digital Black feminism, and interdisciplinary dance curricula.
