LAUNCH YOUR CAREER
The programs in Arts and Humanities are dedicated to experiential learning for all students. Students in our Bilingual/Bicultural Education program have created audiovisual texts inspired by the neighborhood for use in New York City schools. Students in the Music and Music Education program hone their skills in the Teachers College Community Choir. Arts Administration houses a partnership with Columbia Business School, where students can cross-register for courses to ensure they are getting a well-rounded education. Work alongside accomplished faculty to research, teach, and learn at TC.
THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX
TC’s Arts and Humanities students think outside their disciplines. Our graduates are prepared to work with cultures and communities all around the globe as we examine the ways in which art is constructed, consumed, conserved, and reimagined. We focus on promoting engagement with intellectual and creative ideas, with the goal of creating a broad, well-rounded knowledge base in our students. Our collective inquiry and practice across our disciplines informs our teaching, learning, and constructive efforts to create more just societies around the world.
