Blending Multimodal Learning and AI to Foster Engagement and Creativity

Multimodal learning, a method that harnesses multiple modes of learning to accommodate learners’ diverse learning preferences and promote engagement and knowledge comprehension, is becoming increasingly significant in our rapidly evolving educational landscape, especially with the rise of emerging technologies like Generative AI. In this workshop, we will discuss the significance of multimodal learning and explore practical strategies and activities to weave multimodal learning into course design and teaching practices with the assistance of AI tools. As our focus will be on the practical application of AI tools in enhancing multimodal learning strategies, to fully benefit from this workshop participants are expected to have prerequisite knowledge of Generative AI's basic concepts and how it functions.
