Biographical Information

Gardith Marcelin, Ph.D., is a licensed psychologist and full-time Lecturer in the Program in School Psychology.  She teaches an advanced practicum in psychoeducational interventions for schools, coordinates the Program's fieldwork practicum and provides clinical supervision to students in their PreK-to-12 school placements. She also teaches a course on multicultural issues for school psychologists and, alongside Prof. Stephen Peverly, is piloting an academic motivation and study skills intervention in the Bronx for minority adolescent boys. Over the past 15 years, she has presented at a host of national and regional professional conferences and collaborated with parents and educators on initiatives that promote achievement, school success and college bound aspirations for disadvantaged minority youth.
