Biographical Information
Dr. Rebecca Strauss is the Director of Curriculum Design for Avenues: The World School, where she leads the ongoing development of the Avenues World Elements — a global, interdisciplinary intended curriculum that is shared by Avenues campuses around the world. She holds a Ph.D. in literature from the University of Virginia and has fifteen years of academic leadership experience in universities, independent schools, and online. Formerly, she has served as Co-Director and Lecturer in human rights and writing at Columbia University, Director of the Open Doors Leadership Program at the Nightingale-Bamford School, Director of the First-Year Writing Program at the University of Virginia, and Academic Dean of Avenues Online.
