Do you want to become a registered dietitian-nutritionist (RDN)?
If the answer is YES, there are THREE STEPS you must fulfill.
- Successfully complete a series of courses called the Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD). Once completed and verified, you will be eligible to apply for admission to an accredited Dietetic Internship Program.
- Successfully complete an accredited Dietetic Internship Program. Dietetic Internship Programs consist of 1,200 or more hours of supervised practice in the nutrition field.
- Successfully pass the Dietetic Registration Exam administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration, the credentialing agency for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
