Arunika Sharma

Masters Student in Developmental Psychology

Human Development Senator

Arunika is a second-year student in the Developmental Psychology masters program. In addition to being a full-time student, Arunika works part-time at the Gottesman Library as an associate. As the Departmental Senator this year, Arunika represents HUD in the Student Senate. She serves as the liaison between our department and the Senate. Moreover, she also serves as the Chair of the Academic Affairs Committee in the Senate. In this role, Arunika works closely with various offices and departments at TC to address concerns related to students' academic experience, research opportunities, advisement, registration and course-related issues, and more. A fun fact about Arunika is that she is a trained Indian classical and folk dancer. Additionally, she performed in Columbia's Middle Eastern dance troupe in 2022-23. Among other things, she likes to paint and bake.

Maeghan Sill

Masters Student in Learning Analytics

Human Development Senator

This is Maeghan's first year at Teachers College, and she is excited to be a part of this community. Maeghan is originally from Raleigh, North Carolina, and attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for her undergraduate study. For the past thirteen years, she has been working as an educator. She has worked at a variety of different types of schools in North Carolina, Florida, and China. Maeghan enjoys traveling, trying new foods, playing board games, reading, and watching TV in her free time.

As a member of the TC Senate and a representative for the Human Development Department, Maeghan can be a liaison for communicating the needs of the students in our department. She aims to help Teachers College continue to be a warm, inclusive community while adapting to meet the many arising socio- political changes and challenges. In Senate, Maeghan is a member of the Grounds and Resources committee. She helps develop solutions for sustainability, stewardship, community health, and equity on campus. Maeghan looks forward to hearing from you!
