The Value of Leadership
The John Dewey Circle brings together Teachers College’s most generous and loyal alumni and friends who support the College through a yearly contribution of $1,000 or more to the Annual Fund. These leadership gifts are a vital mainstay of our operating budget and allow the College to keep pioneering bold new ideas that shape how people develop and learn.The Benefits of Membership
Members of the John Dewey Circle are invited to special TC events, including the annual Dewey Circle Reception with President Susan Fuhrman, and have the opportunity throughout the year to meet with faculty and students, to see first-hand the impact of generous annual support, and enjoy special recognition for their contribution in the TC Annual Report.

The Annual Fund Scholars
The Annual Fund Scholars Program allows TC Fund donors to establish a one-year term scholarship to a student with demonstrated need. In this 125th anniversary year, TC’s Board of Trustees are issuing a challenge to the leaders of the TC Fund and recent members of the John Dewey Circle to participate in this important annual initiative. They have generously offered to match, 1:1, any gift of $2500 to financial aid, for a total of $5,000. There will be opportunities to meet your scholar at our annual scholarship celebration and hear from them directly about the work that you are supporting. In addition, you will be recognized at the Scholar’s Circle level of the John Dewey Circle.
