Resources for Faculty
WHAT THE CFR OFFICE DOES FOR FACULTY:
Identifies Prospects
- We can match your project to foundations with an interest in that area and that fund at the level you need
- We can minimize overlap with other faculty that are already cultivating and soliciting particular foundations
- We can help you strategize around your funding needs and research lists of likely prospects
Cultivates Prospects
- We can facilitate the conversation between faculty or Project Investigators (PIs), and the foundation
- We can set up meetings or conference calls between faculty/PIs and foundation program officer
- We can facilitate needed follow-up once initial outreach is made
Solicits Prospects
- We can help write, edit, and submit Letters of Inquiry (LOIs) and full proposals
- We can help develop your budget
- We can contact funders to ensure receipt and status of your proposal and field foundation executives’ questions or requests for more information
- We can provide institutional documentation required with submissions, including financial statements, 501(c)(3) documentation, boilerplate, among other item
- We can assist in the completion of the routing sheet, required internally for all submissions
Stewards The Grant
- CFR will compose and send official acknowledgment letters from our office and from the President’s Office
- CFR will enter reporting requirements into our database and communicate due dates to the PI for all reports
- CFR will help send stewardship reports to foundation as needed
