Film Screening event flyer

Location: Smith Learning Theater, Gottesman Library, 4th Floor

The TC community is invited to watch a powerful short film about slavery in the colonial north and the complex attempts that enslaved people made to negotiate family, power and freedom. Runaway was produced by TC Senior Lecturer Dr. Jacqueline Simmons for Philipsburg Manor, a former 17th century plantation in the Hudson Valley. An experiential space will be created to watch the film, engage with curricula designed by Dr. Simmons, and discuss the potential of multimodal curricula and research.
