International Academy for Art and Cultural Studies
The International Academy for Art and Cultural Studies (IAA) is a non-profit, independent institution founded in 2023 to advance global citizenship and cultural diplomacy through the arts, education, and social studies.
IAA works in partnership with United Nations bodies such as ECOSOC, the PGA Office, and UNITAR-NYO to promote the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals. Its mission centers on preserving cultural heritage, expanding access to arts education, and fostering international exchange—particularly for underserved and marginalized communities.
Through training, research, and global collaboration, IAA contributes to a more inclusive, peaceful, and sustainable future for all.
UNITAR-NYO
The United Nations Institute for Training and Research – New York Office (UNITAR-NYO) serves as a key hub for diplomatic training, capacity-building, and multilateral engagement within the UN system. Focused on strengthening global governance, UNITAR-NYO provides high-level training programs for diplomats, UN delegates, government officials, and civil society leaders.
With a strong emphasis on diplomacy, sustainable development, and international cooperation, the office works to ensure that representatives from all Member States—especially those from developing countries—have equitable access to knowledge and skills that support effective participation in the UN.
Through strategic partnerships, expert-led seminars, and hands-on learning, UNITAR-NYO contributes to a more informed, inclusive, and effective international community.
Office of Global Engagement
The Office of Global Engagement (OGE) at Teachers College, Columbia University, leads the College’s efforts to foster meaningful international collaboration and global impact. Originally established in 2008 as the Office of International Affairs and reimagined in 2022 under the leadership of Dr. Portia Williams, OGE develops and supports sustainable, mutually beneficial partnerships that advance high-quality scholarship, practice, and cross-cultural understanding. Serving as a central hub for international initiatives, OGE connects internal and global stakeholders, sets strategic guidelines for engagement, and ensures that global learning remains a cornerstone of the Teachers College mission.
