Yukari Matsuzuka

Senior Research Affiliate

Yukari Matsuzuka is Professor at the Research and Development Center for Higher Education and the Department of Social Sciences in Hitotsubashi University, Japan. She teaches Economics of Education, Education and Economic Development, and Education Statistics. In research area, she specializes in higher education policy and reform, curriculum pathway and its outcome, human capital and labor market, EU postsecondary education system, and the impact of technological changes on education and employment structure. She carries out both qualitative and quantitative research. At IEE, she has worked closely with Japanese academic/research institutions on the subjects of post-secondary deregulation, advanced technology and education, school-to-work transition and adult and continuing education. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics and Education, a M.Ed. in International and Comparative Education, and a B.A. in English Literature.
