Join Pierluigi Bellini from TC's Student Support & Counseling team, in a weekly light-hearted, friendly, relaxing space for everyone in the TC community to gather together, and discuss some healthy habits, wellness tips, and much needed good news. While coping with the current situation of constant waiting that we find ourselves in, how is the TC community living during these different times? We invite all students to have a coffee break with us, and ask questions and share their own experiences, as we also feature special guests each week for a virtual conversation over a warm cup of wellness. View calendar for upcoming topics.

This is a drop-in online community space for all students. Share experiences and tips for maintaining your emotional health. Laugh with others. Have some ‘food for the soul’ while baking virtual bread. Listen to other people's struggles and give and get sympathetic understanding of our need for connection. This group meets on Wednesdays from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, starting March 25, and is facilitated by Eduvigis Cruz-Arrieta, PhD. Join via Zoom.

Join us if you and your partner are trying to cope with adjusting to this new reality and would like to have a space to talk with other couples. Although your situations may differ as some might be sheltering together and some apart, this is still an opportunity to talk and support each other. This drop-in space meets weekly on Fridays from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM EST, from March 27 through April 24, and is facilitated by Debra Domenech, Ph.D. For more information, or to receive the Zoom link to join the group, please email Dr.  Domenech at dd2034@cumc.columbia.edu with “Couples” in the subject line.

This drop-in space is for students who are remaining on campus during the coronavirus outbreak. Many students have left campus but quite a few have remained sheltering on campus. Integrating school, relationships, and health concerns are among the topics that are probably on the minds of students. Many adjustments are necessary. This gathering can provide a space for students to “meet” and share how things are going as well as to talk about how to build community during this time of social distancing.

Section 1: Meets weekly on Fridays from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM EST, from April 3 to May 15. For more information, or to receive the Zoom link to join the group, please email Dr. Debra Domenech at dd2034@cumc.columbia.edu or Dr. Esther Lee at el2971@cumc.columbia.edu with "Alone Together" in the subject line.

Section 2: Meets weekly on Mondays from 4:00 PM-5:00 PM, from April 6 to May 11. For more information, or to receive the Zoom link to join the group, please email Dr. Matthews at sm2158@columbia.edu with "Alone Together" in the subject line.

Please join us in creating a virtual mindfulness community to learn practices and skills to ground us during these challenging times. No prior experience necessary—this group is open to anyone who could use a little more peace in their life. This group meets on Mondays from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, from March 30 to May 4, and is facilitated by Jennifer Drapkin, Ph.D. and Addette Williams, Ph.D. For more information, or to receive the Zoom link to join the group, please email Dr. Drapkin at jad214@cumc.columbia.edu or Dr. Williams at alw65@cumc.columbia.edu with "Moments of Peace" in the subject line.

This space will provide international students who are away from family, friends and home an opportunity to support each other and build coping skills through this challenging time. This support space will be offered for four consecutive weeks on Thursdays from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM EST, beginning on April 9, and will be facilitated by Yaniv Phillips, Ph.D. For more information, or to receive the Zoom link to join the workshop, please email Dr. Phillips at py2120@cumc.columbia.edu with “International” in the subject line.
