Carlos

Carlos Jimenez Fernandez (he/him) is a first-year M.A. student in Motor Learning and Control at Teachers College, Columbia University. He was born in Algeciras, Andalusia, Spain, and completed his undergraduate studies in music (B.M.) at The Juilliard School in New York City. He currently serves as a Graduate Research Assistant. His research interests center on investigating the specific mechanisms underlying the Alexander Technique, an area that aligns with his background as a certified Teacher of the Alexander Technique. Outside of his academic work, Carlos enjoys physical activity, including running, swimming, Tai Chi, and Aikido, as well as reading and baking.
