Enrollment


The Rita Gold Early Childhood Center is open to all families affiliated with Teachers College, Columbia University and Barnard as employees, currently enrolled students and/or alumni. There are no exceptions to this requirement. Click here to view the list of affiliated institutions.

We have a small program with minimal turnover in enrollment. Most families must wait some period of time before a space is available for their children.

 

To begin the application process, families first submit a request for a tour notification using the form on the bottom of this page. Families must first attend a tour of the Center. Tours of the Center are offered in the months of October and November. Tours scheduled outside of October and November are offered only if there are any remaining spots available in the Center after the admissions cycle has ended. RGC's admissions cycle is from October-December.

 

After touring, interested families are invited to submit an enrollment application with a A non-refundable $75 fee. Submitting an application and paying the application fee does not guarantee a space program but will guarantee that your application is considered for three entry points in the year: January, May and September. When an opening becomes available, we contact the most eligible candidate. In our selection process we carefully consider a number of criteria, such as sibling priority, gender, age, diversity, and special needs.

 

To register for a tour, please fill out the form below. We will be in touch with you in September for October tours. If you did not receive a tour, you will be notified in September of fall tour dates if you have signed up for a tour.
