Workshops
In February, the Spirituality Mind Body Institute launched LEO, (Learning, Evolving, Opening) — the spiritual wellness center within Teachers College — offering innovative delivery models and spiritually integrated work to establish vibrant spiritual communities that nurture the individual to serve the whole. The mission of the center is grounded in the science of spiritual life–promoting inner work for outer change. To bring this conversation into a larger arena, SMBI is hosting its first, groundbreaking spirituality and psychology conference, Spiritual Life: Growth and Learning Across the Lifespan –Personal and Professional Development Conference.
This conference will showcase pioneering content and modalities of teaching and learning, and experiential work developed by graduate students and instructors who are agents of change in the emerging field of universal spirituality. Through exploration and discovery the transformative workshops, breakout groups, lectures and conversations are designed to foster true spiritual awareness and self-exploration, within a rigorous academic context examining spirituality as a source of resilience in daily life, constructive solutions in educational change and a gateway to personal fulfillment.
