Sunshine Scholarship

Jena Curtis, a doctoral student in the Department of Health & Behavioral Studies, is the first recipient of the Diane and Abraham Sunshine Scholarship.

Jena Curtis, a doctoral student in the Department of Health & Behavioral Studies, is the first recipient of the Diane and Abraham Sunshine Scholarship. Jena is working with Dr. Robert Fullilove, an Associate Dean at the Mailman School for Public Health and Chair of the CDC's HIV AIDS Task Force, on developing curriculum to educate teachers, social workers, therapists and other HIV/AIDS care providers for use in the schools and communities, both in the U.S. and abroad.

Diane Sunshine, who received her master's in Philosophy & Social Sciences in 1966, is a member of the Alumni Council and the John Dewey Volunteer Network. Diane is a psychotherapist, and her husband Abraham is a physician.
