Diana Jensen, a graduate student in arts education at Teachers College, is featured in an article entitled "Second-Graders 'Get It':The pleasure of exploring art by Matisse and Picasso."  She works as a freelance classroom educator for MoMA and was recently explaining modern art to second-graders in Jo Ann McCarthy's class at PS 122 in Astoria. MoMA instructors go to the schools before each class visit to to the museum in order to prepare the children for what they'll see, then they return after the tours to discuss the experience with the students.
