DietTelevision.com Launches Website to Help People Find the Right Diet

A free new Website launched on November 9, 2006 is the place to go for help avoiding those extra pounds that 51-percent of Americans put on between Thanksgiving and the New Year (1).

A free new Website launched on November 9, 2006 is the place to go for help avoiding those extra pounds that 51-percent of Americans put on between Thanksgiving and the New Year (1). Why wait for the New Year to make a healthy weight resolution when DietTelevision.com can help bypass putting on the pounds altogether? Amid thousands of diet, health and wellness websites that advocate a single solution, DietTelevision.com is a unique, objective resource with only one goal: to help each person find a diet that will work for them based on their own personal weight loss goals and food preferences.

DietTelevision.com also will feature seasonal tips, advice and inspiration from leading health, wellness and nutrition experts including:  Toby Amidor, MS, RD, is a registered dietitian with a master's degree in clinical nutrition and dietetics from New York University.  She currently is pursuing her doctoral degree in nutrition education from Teachers College, Columbia University. As an instructor at The Art Institute of New York City, Toby teaches aspiring chefs about nutrition and food safety. She also write extensively, recently publishing The All New Joy of Cooking (under Know Your Ingredients), where she helped compile the food composition table of over 300 foods.

Early next year, DietTelevision.com will debut additional tools and resources. The company will deliver supportive and motivational content across a variety of media -- television, video-on-demand, mobile devices and the Internet -- to provide people who want to lose weight with the right content and tools when and where they need them.
