Bus-shelter proposals and father-daughter exhibit on tap

Here are some events happening in the region:

Cincinnati:  University of Kentucky art professor George Szekely and his daughter, Ilona Szekely Tackett, are having a joint exhibition at The Base Gallery, 1225 Main St., through Sept. 24. Ilona presents objects found in her purse and repackaged into clear plastic bag sculptures as sort of self-portraits. Her father, who has kept a diary of daily portraits for 35 years, gives a sample of this work for the first time.
