Coats, Books and Toys

In keeping with the spirit of the season, several drives, for coats, books and toys, are happening right now around the college. Find out how you can participate.

From now through January 16, TC community members can drop off books for readers of all ages (including textbooks, children’s books, fiction, non-fiction and more) in Whittier Hall Lobby, Bancroft Lobby, New Residence Hall Lobby, the President’s Office, the Gottesman Libraries and The Office of Student Activities and Programs. The effort will culminate on Wednesday, February 4, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., with a TC Community Bookshelf Exchange in TC’s Grace Dodge Dining Hall.

The Bookshelf Project is sponsored by the Office of Student Activities and Programs, Kappa Delta Pi International Education Honor Society, the Office of Community and Diversity, the TC Management Network and Culinart.

Through December 18, the Kappa Chapter of Kappa Delta Pi International Education Society and the Office of Student Activities and Programs also are sponsoring TC’s fourth annual to support NY Cares. Coats can be dropped off at Whittier Hall Lobby, Bancroft Lobby, new Residence Hall Lobby, Zankel Hall Lobby and The Office of Student Activities and Programs.

And finally, TC’s Office of the Web is conducting its fifth annual Holiday Toy Drive. TC community members should leave unwrapped new toys or books for children between the ages of 3 and 5 in a box available in Zankel Hall through December 16.
