Conversations Across Cultures to Take Place This Weekend

The Macy Gallery's "Conversations Across Cultures" symposium this weekend will include lectures, panels, discussions and demonstrations about new ways to approach art.
The Macy Gallery’s “Conversations Across Cultures” symposium November 20 through 22 will include lectures, panels, discussions and demonstrations about new ways to approach art. The symposium accompanies the gallery’s "Cross Cultural Conversations in the Arts - Bridging Discourses" exhibit up until November 25 at 444 Macy Hall. The exhibition, which offers new approaches to engaging with works of art through studio practices, movement and sound, was curated by Judith M. Burton, professor of art education; Olga Hubard, assistant professor of art education; and art education students Effie Phillips, Amelia Epp, Ardina Greco. On Friday, November 20, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. there will be a reception and dance performance, also in the gallery space.
