Mini Moments With Big Thinkers

William Dodge Rueckert

William Dodge Rueckert has served on TC's Board of Trustees since1997 and as its Co-Chair since 2003. He is the great nephew of the College's founder, Grace Hoadley Dodge, and his grandfather, Cleveland E. Dodge (Grace's nephew), served on TC's Board for 67 years, including 32 as Chair -- the longest tenure of anyone to hold that position. Rueckert is Managing Member of Oyster Management Group, LLC, a fund that invests in community banks, and serves on the boards of Chelsea Therapeutic, Inc., Novogen, Ltd. and Glycotex, Inc. He is also President and a Director of the Cleveland H. Dodge Foundation; Trustee and Chairman of the Executive Committee of International House; a Director of YMCA of Greater New York; Director of Wave Hill; and former Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Fairfield Country Day School.

In "Mini Moments with Big Thinkers," leading figures in Teachers College's history discuss groundbreaking ideas, research and initiatives born at the College during the past half-century. The Mini Moments are drawn from the College’s Oral History Project, a collection of more than 90 videotaped interviews conducted by Melanie Shorin and Jessica Wiederhorn, the principals of The Narrative Trust, a private firm that conducts and captures the oral histories of institutions, communities and individuals. Produced in conjunction with TC’s Department of Development and External Affairs, the Mini-Moments are airing throughout 2013.
