Welcome to the Programs in Movement Science & Kinesiology
The Movement Science & Kinesiology programs approach human movement from a multidisciplinary perspective — physiology, behavioral science, the neural bases of movement control, and pedagogy — with an emphasis on application in the laboratory, clinic, school, and community. Our newest degree, the M.S. in Kinesiology, offers three areas of concentration so students can align the program with their own goals, from advancing in a health or fitness profession to preparing for doctoral study or a research career, and pairs coursework with hands-on laboratory experience alongside faculty researchers. Master's and doctoral degrees are also available in Applied Exercise Physiology and Motor Learning & Control. We have been a pioneer in Movement Science for over 50 years and our doctoral program is consistently ranked in the top of the nation.

Parkinson's Disease and Exercise:
An Evidence-based Training Program for Health and Exercise Professionals
TC Academy at Teachers College, in association with Parkinson's Body and Mind, Inc (PBM), designed a training program on the latest evidence in exercise and physical activity for people with PD. This is an online, self-paced program with open enrollment, and participants who successfully complete this program will earn American College of Sports Medicine Continuing Education Credits.
