Academic Research Writing for International Researchers
This course will guide you in the process of:
- Recognizing and employing strategies for effectively synthesizing and critiquing prior literature in their field;
- Identifying, analyzing, and practicing use of language features characteristic of research writing for academic audiences;
- Identifying, analyzing, and practicing use of discipline- and genre-specific rhetorical conventions in research writing for academic audiences;
- Recognizing and employing strategies and techniques for effective editing;
- Applying this knowledge to their own current research writing.
Course Duration: June 29 - August 17*, 2021 (8 weeks)
*Final project due August 24
Live classes (on Zoom): Every Tuesday, 9:30am-11:30am EST (New York time)

Taking the IRLP courses improved my knowledge and my self-confidence. I believe that applying to all IRLP courses was the best decision I did.
