Registration

Registration Deadlines:

  • Fall 2017 registration deadline: July 10 - August 21

NOTE: Registration for ESL courses is closed. We will no longer accept any more students at this time. We appreciate your interest in our program and hope you will join us in the spring!

 

Registration Instructions:

If you are new student:

  1. Click here for the online registration link for new students.
  2. Complete the student information section; you must answer all questions.
  3. Choose the course(s) you wish to take.
  4. Choose the test date and time that best works for you. All new students are required to take the placement test onsite. 
    1. If you are registering for foreign language courses, you will be contacted by the office regarding the placement test for Spanish/Chinese.
  5. After the Acknowledgment and Agreement Statement, pay for the course(s) through our online payment system. Only credit/debit cards are acceptable; no cash or check allowed.
    1. If you wish to pay later, you can do so as long as you make your payment at least one week before your test date. Please send us an email at clp@tc.columbia.edu if you want the online payment link so that you do not need to register again.
  6. Once you are done with registration, please wait until you receive an email with more details about your placement test at least one week before your test date.

 

If you are a continuing student:

  1. Click here for the online registration link for continuing students.
  2. Complete the student information section.
  3. Choose the course(s) you wish to take.
  4. Indicate the previous semester you took a course at our program. For example, if you took a course in Spring 2017, please choose Spring 2017. 
    1. Continuing students do not need to sign up to take the placement test if they were enrolled in a CLP course within one year. The test scores will be available for placement for one year. Please register as a new student if you are returning after a year.
    2. If you indicated that you were at our program anytime from Fall 2016, please enter your six-digit CLP ID number on your white ID card (e.g. 301465). You can also find the number on your payment receipt in your inbox.
  5. After the Acknowledgment and Agreement Statement, pay for the course(s) through our online payment system. Only credit/debit cards are acceptable; no cash or check allowed. 
    1. If you wish to pay later, you can do so as long as you make your payment at least one week before your first day of class. Please send us an email at clp@tc.columbia.edu if you want the online payment link so that you do not need to register again.
  6. Once you are done with registration, you will receive an email at least one week before your first day of class regarding your class information.
