Media Services provides technical Event Support for the Teachers College’s three major lecture halls and public spaces: Cowin Center, Milbank Chapel, Zankel 109 and Grace Dodge 179.

When it comes to Internet security, CIS strives to ensure that all members of the TC community are informed and empowered. We offer a number of online resources, how-to guides and walkthroughs on topics such as email security, and tips for browsing securely online. In addition, we offer a secure password vault and multifactor authentication software, both of which can be downloaded and installed by the Service Desk upon request.
We also offer security awareness training to departments and small groups of faculty, staff and students. Please contact the Service Desk for more information on how to arrange a presentation.
Faculty & Student Support
CIS provides a diverse range of campus technology support to faculty for teaching, learning and research. Our technology support staff strives to quickly, courteously and effectively meet your technology needs.
We offer consultation services, professional development programs, as well as more in-depth needs related to technology for teaching or research. For assistance, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
We provide support for the following:

All our classroom media console, mobile cart, and Smart Board/Starlink systems are equipped with a dual-boot Mac Mini (Mac OS 10.11 and MS Win 10); all these rooms have either a 30w, 75w, or 100w sound systems with physical connections for user's laptop to the main display. All of our classroom installations utilize wireless RF Keyboards.
Some of our classrooms have Wacom Tablets, Touch Panel LCD screens, Document Cameras, Video conferencing and Lecture capturing capabilities pre-installed.

The Service Desk is your first point of contact for technical support for campus information technology services such as:
- PC and Mac Problems: Desktops and laptops must have a TC tag in order to be serviced by the Service Desk--The tag will say "Property of Teachers College”
- Setting up hardware or software for the first time
- Campus network, Internet and phone connections
- College Internet accounts and passwords
