Printing for Students

GoPrint

GoPrint provides TC students with free and paid printing options. GoPrint allows students to redirect print jobs and check their balances. It requires a UNI login to authenticate the print job, thus preventing theft of your printing funds. Printing funds are allocated into the following Purses:

  • Semester Allowance Purse
  • Pay 5 Cents Per Page Purse
  • Current Semester 1600 Page Allowance Purse
  • Current Semester 800 Page Allowance Purse

Unused money in any Allowance printing purse is NOT rolled over to the following semester. Only funds in the Pay 5 Cents Per Page Purse are retained after each semester ends.

Semester Allowance Purse

On the first day of each semester, $16 is added to each student’s Teachers College GoPrint Semester Allowance Purse. This allows students to print out 320 pages per semester.

Additional Printing

For an additional fee, student can purchase extended printing purses or add to their existing Pay 5 Cents Per Page Purse. All additional printing credits are purchased through the computer lab in Horace Mann 242. When purchasing the Semester 1600 Page Allowance or the Semester 800 Page Allowance, visit the CashNet Extended Printing page and select “Student Extended Printing Service (TC Only)” and print the receipt. To be sure funds are added to your purse, bring the receipt to 234 Horace Mann 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Any other times, leave the receipt with the consultant in Horace Mann 242. It will take 1-2 business days for your purse funds to be updated. Funds added to the Pay 5 Cents Per Page purse are reflected immediately.

Students can print from their own laptops at TC!  In order to configure this, you will need to add the GoPrint printers to your Mac.  Your Mac may request an additional download of printer drivers for the printers after running this process. Please acquire the drivers if requested to ensure your Mac has access to all of the features of our printers.

In order to add a print queue to your Mac, open the System Preferences application, which can be accessed from the Launchpad or the Apple Menu.
