RESEARCH WHAT SPEAKS TO YOU

Across all our programs in International, Transcultural, and Bilingual Education, research opportunities abound. Our scholars practice qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-method approaches to research on a variety of topics. Some of these projects include the Harlem Education History Project, which focuses on the history surrounding the Harlem neighborhood, and the George Clemont Bond Center For African Education, which promotes research and teaching in Africa and the African Diaspora.

GET HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE

Students in International, Transcultural, and Bilingual Education programs get hands-on experience in their fields. Whether it be student teaching in a classroom, independent research, interning at the government, non-profit, or community level, or participating in an Integrative Project, our students are immersed in their work.

BUILD A BETTER WORLD

At TC, we see social justice as integral to our curriculums. Our students and faculty work toward a more equitable world, inside and outside of the classroom. Patricia Martinez-Alvarez focuses her research on the intersectionality of bilingualism and disability. Alumna Paulina Castro Wolf centers her students and their experiences in her Washington Heights bilingual classroom. Together, TC is dedicated to ensuring all students receive a quality education.
