Curriculum and Teaching

Before coming to Teachers College, I worked as a fellow at Teach For India, where I taught grades 6-8 in an under-resourced public school in Delhi, India. Subsequently, I took on multiple Curriculum Design and Teacher Education roles across various non-profits and Ed-tech organizations in India, aiming to improve learning outcomes and build teachers' capacities. The gap in research around contextual and empowering curricula in India inspired me to come to Teachers College. I now hope to gain in-depth knowledge of Curricular Design, and the relationship between power, privilege, and education, to address the systemic inequities that hinder students of different social classes, castes, and identities from accessing an excellent education in India.
