Welcome

The Association of Latin American Students (ALAS) is a student organization located in Teachers College, Columbia University, in New York City. As an organization that aims at creating academic, cultural, and social networks within the Latin American community across time and place, ALAS offers a wide range of activities to accomplish this mission such as an annual conference, social and cultural events, symposia, workshops, an online discussion forum, and a weekly newsletter.

ALAS Welcoming Fiesta a Success!

This year's ALAS Welcoming Fiesta was a tremendous success with over 60 guests! Thanks to all those who came and we look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events this fall. A special thanks to the ALAS Organizing Commitee for making this event possible: Veronica Cabezas, Candido Hernandez, Jorge Chavez, Jorge Cifuentes, Guillermo Marini, Paul Neira, Pamela Gonzalez, Angye Rincon, Rita Sanchez, Diego Sarroca , Maria Jose Tato and Rosario Torres-Guevara.
