About EdForum In 2002, Mark Berkowitz and Kecia Hayes began a new
student organization called Positive Progress. The goal of Positive
Progress was to bring together Columbia
University graduate students
from various disciplines to discuss issues in education. During the
first year, the discussions piqued students’ interest in the
topic of education and the juvenile justice system. The organization
hosted a national conference on that topic, drawing attention to an
important issue that is seldom discussed. |
