The TC Summer Challenge is a community-wide campaign to motivate all current & incoming students, alumni, faculty and staff to “Come Together” and get moving in honor of the Teachers College Class of 2020. Through this challenge, we hope to attract more than 275 movers who will collectively circle the globe — 25,000 miles!— by committing to move at least 1 mile per day, every day, during the summer, and raise $10,000 to support TC’s students. Don’t think you can move a mile? No problem — we still need you on our team — whatever you are able to do is welcome.
Once registered for the challenge:
What movement counts? Just about anything you can think of can be turned into miles that will get us to the goal of 25,000 miles. So, take a yoga class, go for a walk, or a run, or go swimming or ride your bike!
Faculty, staff and alumni are asked to pay a one time registration fee of $20.20. Incoming & continuing students and members of the class of 2020 are not required to pay the registration fee.
Can’t participate, but would still like to sponsor/make a donation? You can do this by clicking the button below.
Coach Carol Ewing Garber, Professor of Movement Sciences & Director, Graduate Program in Applied Physiology and her team of students from the TC EXerT Clinic will be with you every step of the way as you move towards the goal.
