The Center on Chinese Education (CoCE) at Teachers College, Columbia University has formed a partnership with Shenzhen University to design and implement a ten-week online program on faculty development and instructional leadership for its 45 faculty members in Spring 2022. Based in Shenzhen, China’s first Special Economic Zone and an important technology hub in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area, Shenzhen University is distinctively known as one of most innovative universities in Mainland China. Our Center is honored to collaborate with Shenzhen University and support its goal of becoming a leading player in higher education reforms and economic development in China’s Greater Bay Area.

With the joint efforts of CoCE, Shenzhen University, and our Chinese partner GEC Academy, this faculty leadership development program aims to provide world-class training and enhance the overall professional and academic development of Shenzhen University faculty members. Between March 16th and May 21st, 2022, professors from the Organization and Leadership Department and other departments at Teachers College, Columbia University will deliver lectures and workshops on various important topics in higher education including educational leadership, instructional leadership, adult learning, and online teaching and learning strategies.
