The Center on Chinese Education has collaborated with Guangdong Provincial Department of Education and Guangdong University of Education on K-12 principal and teacher lead training programs since 2013. Recently the Center hosted seminars and school visits for another delegation of Guangdong principals and leaders from January 8 to January 18th, 2019. During their two weeks stay in New York, the Chinese principals attended ten lectures at Teachers College, Columbia University and visited eight elementary and secondary schools. At the end of the program, the Chinese guests were invited to attended the U.S.-China Principal Forum hosted by the Center on Chinese Education. 
The seminars covered various key educational topics, including childhood education, global citizenship education, educational technology, and leadership development. Guangdong Principal Delegation shared their perspectives and experiences with Teachers College professors, and reflected on the differences of Chinese and American education. 

At the closing ceremony on the last day, Principal Zhijun Yu from Zhuhai shared her reflections: “When I first arrived in New York, I noticed many ‘ONE WAY’ signs on the roads. I felt very puzzled at the beginning as most roads have two lanes (ways), and couldn’t understand why it says “one way.” Later I realized that the sign means only one direction. I think education is like this, there is only one direction which is to help students be better, but there can be many lanes to achieve this goal. I am very glad to attend this seminar held at Teachers College, one of the most famous education schools in the United States.”
