Dear colleagues, students, and friends,

The Center on Chinese Education (CoCE) invites you to attend the Memorial Service for Professor Mun C. Tsang, founding Director of CoCE, professor Emeritus of Economics and Education Policy, and former chair of the International and Transcultural Studies Department at Teachers College, Columbia University. He has devoted his life to fostering in-depth educational cooperation and exchange between China and the US. He championed education equity for marginalized populations in regions throughout the world by involving in many important education poverty alleviation projects of international organizations such as the World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank, and UNESCO with a vision for the world. He has made numerous trips to remote and impoverished areas of China to raise funds and support poor children in completing their education and to promote equitable and balanced development of education. His dedication to education and commitment to his students touched countless lives, and his legacy will continue to inspire future generations.

The event will take place on Dec. 2nd from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Milbank Chapel.
