On May 2nd, 2019, a delegation led by Mrs. Xiuqin Gao, President of  Peiwen Group of Peking University visited Teachers College. They were accorded a warm reception by the Center on Chinese Education and Office of International Affairs of Teachers College, Columbia University.

Dr. Henan Cheng, the deputy director of the Center on Chinese Education (CoCE)  welcomed PKU Peiwen Group and introduced the history of CoCE which aims at contributing to a better understanding of education in China and to educational exchange between the United States and China. Since its founding in 2000, CoCE has been actively acting as a bridge between China and the U.S. in holding training programs for educators and leaders from various institutes of China and conducting educational research on important issues.  Dr. Cheng also drew upon the historically special relationship between Peking University and Teachers College since Peiwen Group. is one of Peking University affiliated enterprises. PKU Peiwen mainly engaged in publishing,  with a business scope covering management and service of basic education, curriculum reform and research and cultural and academic publications.

Ms. Blessings Nuga, the representative from the Office of International Affairs thanked the delegation for their visit to Teachers College. The Office of International Affairs, as a liaison between internal and international entities, commits to coordinating, developing, and expanding the scope of TC's international initiatives. At the meeting both sides expressed the strong interest in promoting bilateral cooperation to provide high-quality educational and cultural services for the society and the youths in China with the expertise of the faculty at Teachers College.
