Zora
Professor / Lecturer

Affiliation: Ecole Normale Superieure d`Oran (ENSO)

 

I started working at the University of Oran 2 in 1999, and served as a part-time teacher in both the department of computer science and the department of chemistry. In 2007, I was hired as a full-time teacher at the university of Mostaganem. I joined Ecole Normale Superieure d`Oran in 2015 and since then, I have been involved in a variety of projects aiming for better education in Algeria.

Ahmed
Doctor / Lecturer

Affiliation: University Hassiba Benbouali of Chlef

I'm Ahmed Abbache, I've been serving as a lecturer at the University of Hassiba Ben Bouali of Chlef since 2011. With a strong academic background, I hold a PhD in Computer Sciences, which has provided me with a deep understanding of the subject. Throughout my career, recently I developed a strong interest in Content-Based Instruction (CBI) within the realm of higher education. I intend to work on more classroom implementation of the model and do more CBI research.

Leila
Associate Professor / Teacher Trainer

Affiliation: Ecole Normale Superieure (ENS) Assia Djebar, Constantine, Algeria


Dr. Leila Djouima is an associate professor and teacher trainer at ENS, Constantine. She is specialized in Applied linguistics. She is head of a research team in the RELTEL (Research on English Language Teacher Education Laboratory) and her main research area is teacher training curriculum design and evaluation. She joined the English department at the ENS of Constantine in 2000 and since then, she has actively participated in the scientific, pedagogical, and administrative activities of her institution. She has also participated in various scientific events in Algeria and abroad. Recently, she has joined the Thematic Agency for Research in Humanities and Social Sciences where she has been assigned the role of assistant director in charge of research promotion and evaluation.

Sarah
Lecturer / ELT

Affiliation: Mascara University

Sarah Benmammar is a lecturer at Mascara University. She has been teaching there for 13 years. She held a ‘Magister’ degree in ESP (English for Specific Purposes) in 2011. Initially, she worked as a part-time teacher in the department of Economics and Commercial Sciences for four years.  In 2011, she joined the Department of the English Language and Literature as a general English teacher at Mascara University where she taught many modules as Reading and Writing, Introduction to Social Sciences, Research Methodology, Tools of Research, ESP Issues and Context, and Digital Research. In 2018, she got her doctorate in ESP from the University of Tlemcen . She is a trainee in ICLHE (Cohort 1) provided by the American Embassy in Algiers, Algerian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and a mentor in  Cohorts 2&3. She is a reviewer in many national journals. She took part in many national and international colloquiums in different disciplines. Her research interest centers on: ESP, Needs Analysis, language-learning motivation, Assessment, teachers’ development, and teaching strategies.

Naimi
Doctor / Associate Professor

Affiliation: Hassiba Benbouali University of Chlef


Naimi Amara is a university teacher of English with an experience of more than 10 years. He also taught in different secondary schools in Algeria from 2004 to 2013. He started teaching at the University of Chlef in 2013 after getting his Magistére degree. He got his Phd in ESP in 2018. His fields of interest are conducting research in ESP/EAP, Educational Research, Educational Assessment and Didactics. He is currently a member of the TICELET Laboratory at the Faculty of Foreign Languages and a Member of the PRFU-CLIL research Project. He is the head of the Phd Project in Didactics and ESP in which 11 Phd students are enrolled. He was a trainee and mentor in the ICLHE project provided by Columbia University (US) and the Algerian Ministry of Higher Education. Naimi Amara is a reviewer of many national and international journals and has published number of articles in local and international journals.

Asma
Doctor / Assistant Professor

Affiliation: University of Batna 1, Algeria

A PhD holder in TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) and an assistant Professor at Batna 1 University, Algeria, Asma Rahmani is a visiting lecturer at different departments (English department, Psychology department Journalism.) at different universities. She has a certificate in computer driving license, Ministry of Education and Vocational Training.
She is a member of the local committee of the application of English at Batna-1 University responsible for teacher’s trainings, and a member of the local committee on the application of English responsible for PhD students. She is a teacher trainer of subject matter teachers at Batna-1 University. She is a trainee in ICLHE provided by the American Embassy in Algiers, Algerian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Columbia University (cohort 2). Also, she is a reviewer of many national and international journals, a member of the steering committee of many national and international academic events and an active member of the Road User Psychology – LPUR laboratory, Batna1 University. She has many national and international scientific publications. Her fields of interest are applied linguistics, assessment, TEFL, sociolinguistics, and psycholinguistics.

Amina
Doctor / Lecturer

Affiliation: University of Algiers 1, Algiers, Algeria / Higher National Veterinary School of Algiers


I'm Amina Bessas, a doctor of veterinary medicine, specialist in infectious diseases (diagnosis and treatment). I work as an associate professor at Higher National Veterinary School of Algiers. With 12 years of experience in Academia, I taught many programs related to Microbiology, Immunology, Epidemiology, Pharmacology and also Scientific English for students in different levels (Bachelor's, Masters and PhD degrees). My research focuses on emerging and zoonotic infectious diseases in Algeria (Animal pathogens and their impact on animal and public health - epidemiology and prevention) with publications in International journals and participation in many scientific events. I am thrilled and very excited to be part of the community of practice in the scope of adopting English language at the Algerian university level in the near future.

Choyab
Assistant Teacher / ESP Teacher

Affiliation: University of Abou-bakr Belkaid- Tlemcen, Algeria


Choayb Hadjadj currently serves as a permanent Assistant Teacher at the Department of Political Sciences at Abou-bakr BELKAID University, Tlemcen. He is teaching English for different Political purposes and for different levels, namely: Public Administration, Political and Administrative Organization, International Relations, Strategic and Security Studies.
Choayb Hadjadj started his professional life in 2008. He used to be a teacher of English Language at Middle school for eight years. This first teaching experience made him learn and put into effect different teaching approaches and techniques. After obtaining the Magister degree in Language Studies in 2015, he moved to higher education, where he has been working as an ESP Teacher in the fields of Political Sciences and Law.
Teaching various disciplines paved the way for Choayb Hadjadj to participate in the first Cohort of The Algerian Integrated Content and Language in Higher Education (ICLHE) Program, which is a part of a three-year grant between the Algerian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Applied Linguistics/ TESOL Program at Teachers College, Columbia University. Moreover, he had the opportunity to cascade his acquired knowledge to different colleagues from different Algerian Universities and ENSs figuring as a mentor in Cohorts 2 and 3.
Choayb Hadjadj belongs to Strategic Studies and Political Researches Laboratory, where he has participated as a member in different organising committees of various national and international scientific events.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Nacera
Doctor / Associate Professor

Affiliation: Hassiba Benbouali University of Chlef

Nacèra Benali Reguieg currently serves as an Associate Professor (Level A) at the Department of English at Hassiba Benbouali University of Chlef. With 22 years of experience in academia, she adeptly teaches various disciplines, including writing, speaking, phonetics, research methodology, proofreading, and writing a statement of purpose. Her research primarily explores themes within language, particularly in the realm of tourism, resulting in the publication of scientific papers and presentations at national and international conferences.


Benali Reguieg began her academic experience with a Baccalaureate in 1997, followed by a Bachelor's degree in the English language from Saad Dahleb University in June 2001. Before her university tenure, she spent 11 years as a teacher at the high school level. Subsequently, she pursued her Magistère in English for Specific Purposes (ESP) in April 2012 and obtained her Doctorate in ESP from Djillali Liabes University in April 2019.


Benali Reguieg is highly active at UHBC, serving as both the Head of the Department of English and participating in various administrative and academic roles. She organizes events, presents research at conferences, and publishes work in prestigious journals, advancing knowledge in her field.

Doctor / Associate Professor

Affiliation: Mohamed Lamine Debaghine, Setif 2 University


Dr. Somia Boudinar is an Associate Professor class A with ten years of experience at the Department of English language and literature, Mohamed Lamine Debaghine, Setif 2 University, Algeria. She is a researcher in teaching English for Specific Purposes, Business English, designing ESP courses, English for Academic Purposes, Professional Development of Teachers Trainers, innovative approaches to teaching, and Integrating Content and Language in Higher Education. She peer-reviews papers for national journals. She participated in different national and international conferences and workshops. She is a participant and mentor in different outstanding programs, namely ICLHE program Algeria (cohort 1) and OPEN program.

 

Ghania
Lecturer / ELT

Affiliation: University of Mascara


Dr. Ghania Mekkaoui is a full lecturer at the University of Mascara, Algeria. Her field of interest is mainly concerned with English for Specific Purposes, Education Sciences, and Language Studies. She participated in the ICLHE professional development course through which she says she was lucky to be part of a solid community of practice. In the second and third cohorts, she served as a mentor and was in touch with new teachers from different universities with different expertise.

Belkacem
Assistant Professor

Affiliation: University of Bejaia

Belkacem Outemzabet is an assistant professor in the department of English at Bejaia University (Algeria). He is a magister graduate in English for Specific Purposes and a PhD candidate in Medical English. His research interests include Medical English, English for Specific and Academic Purposes (ESP/EAP), English Language Teaching (ELT), Educational Technology (EdTech), ESP discourse and genre analysis, organizational communication, and rhetorical studies. As a university teacher, he is in charge of several subjects (including lectures and tutorials) in the domain of applied linguistics and language teaching, some of which are: ESP Course and Materials Design, Analysis of Specialist Texts, ESP Concepts and Issues, ESP/EAP, Discourse Analysis, Sociolinguistics and Educational Technology. He has published several articles in national and international journals and is a member of the editorial board of an internationally recognized journal.
