Hours, Fees & Policies

During the regular academic year, September thru May, the Clinic is open:

Monday - Thursday from 9:00am to 5:15pm
Friday 9:00am to 3:00pm


In June, July and August, the Clinic is open:

Monday - Thursday from 9:00am to 5:15pm
Friday 9:00am to 1:00pm

Due to the increasing demand for services and its responsibility to train graduate students, the Edward D. Mysak Clinic for Communication Disorders must uphold an attendance policy:

  • If a client has more than 3 absences unrelated to extraordinary circumstances, or religious holidays, the Clinic Director will review the client's attendance record to determine if services should be terminated.
  • If a client arrives more than 15 minutes late for a scheduled session, the session will not be conducted and will be counted as an absence.
  • Every effort will be made to make up any session missed or canceled by our clinicians.  It is unlikely that sessions canceled by the client will be able to be rescheduled.
  • Clients will not be reimbursed for missed or canceled sessions because fees are charged by semester not per session.

Attendance Policy

  1. Parents and caregivers must remain in the Clinic throughout the therapy session.
  2. Per TC policies, all minors under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult when using the restroom.
  3. There is no eating or drinking allowed in the waiting room or the observation corridors.
  4. We ask that clients and their families refrain from using cell phones while in the Clinic.
  5. No video taping of the sessions is allowed.
  6. Diaper changing must be done in the restroom on the first floor of the Zankel Building, where an appropriate diaper changing unit is provided. 
  7. Entry into the toy room is allowed only with an accompanying clinician.

Fees are payable to Edward D. Mysak Clinic for Communication Disorders by using our online CashNet system.  Payments are not accepted at the clinic.  Directions for paying your bill online will be provided with your first statement.  We do not accept insurance; however, after payment is made, we will be happy to provide you with copies of documentation for you to submit to your insurance carrier.

  • Fees for all therapeutic services are charged by the semester, not by the session.  Fees are not refunded for absences.  Please refer to the attendance policy for more detail.
  • Fees for all therapeutic services will be billed at the start of each semester.  Fees are due by mid-semester.  Clients who have not paid their bill in full by the end of the semester will not be scheduled for further therapeutic sessions. 
  • The Edward D. Mysak Clinical Staff will prepare specialized reports upon request.  A consultation fee of $100.00 will be billed for requests that require preparation beyond the duplication of file documents.
  • A sliding fee scale is available for clients with a documented need.  Please contact the Mysak Clinic for an application. 
  • The fee policy is subject to modifications each semester.
