Tishya is a first-year masters student in the Neuroscience and Education (MS) program at TC, Columbia University. She graduated with a BS in Behavioural Neuroscience with distinction from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. Her undergraduate studies focused primarily on clinical neuroscientific research in patients with treatment-resistant psychosis.
At Columbia, Tishya is a member of the NRL team where she strives to work on assessment and treatment of neurodegenerative diseases. Her interests include incorporating contemporary technological methods of neurorehabilitation, such as neuromodulation and wearable assistive devices, to treat patients for the effects of neural disorders. Tishya is passionate about decoding the links between the brain and behavior in a clinical setting.
When she isn’t at the lab, Tishya is likely to be spotted at the gym or with a mystery novel and cup of coffee in hand!
