Dr. Gu is a research volunteer in NRL at TC. She grew up in China and later moved to Australia, where she completed her physiotherapy training at the University of Sydney and has since pursued her interest in stroke rehabilitation clinically. She completed her Ph.D. in “Early-onset type 2 diabetes: nerve function, the impact of high-intensity interval training, and exercise program acceptability.” She has a strong interest in qualitative research, health promotion in minority communities, and health economics.

Outside of research, Yu loves camping, dancing, art, and building snowman!!! (the best part of New York!!!!!)
