This is the 4th annual graduate student-led conference, organized by the C&T graduate student collaborative, along with the Global Citizens Club and TC Student Senate.
We encourage students to share teaching, research, and work-in-progress at our March 28 conference "Facing Climate: Affecting Change in Our Classrooms, Communities, and World."

The world is on fire: ecologically, politically, socially, affectively. Given our diverse lived experiences, how do we think about facing these charged climates — and the climate’s charge — in our communities, cities, and world? We invite researchers, practitioners, activists, artists, and global citizenship advocates interested in these issues to submit a proposal that responds to the following questions:
- How is climate felt in our bodies, movements, and capacities to act?
- How do we listen to and learn from youth and other marginalized voices on matters of the environment?
- How might we teach in climates that deny differences and for climates that honor differences?
- What burning questions, complications, and desires drive your own work as an educator, researcher, citizen, and human in this world
We encourage a range of proposals, including theoretical work, self-study, action research, literature review, and field study in paper, poster, workshop, or other session forms.
This conference was designed as a supportive space for students to share their work - masters and doctoral students are encouraged to present their work, especially if it's their first time presenting or they're preparing for a bigger upcoming conference (*ahem, AERA)! If there are any questions, please encourage students to share those in the proposal form.
