Erika Kessler, a doctoral student in the International Comparative Education Program and researcher at the Center for Sustainable Futures, is the recipient of two paper awards for her recent publication “Climate change concern among youth: Examining the role of civics and institutional trust across 22 countries” (forthcoming in Education Policy Analysis Archives).
Erika received the 2021 Judith Torney-Purta Outstanding Paper Award from the Citizenship & Democratic Education Special Interest Group of Comparative & International Education Society (CIES). The reviewers noted the “paper framed the research problem especially well in discussing studies of adults as well as young people’s views of climate change.” Erika also received the 2021 Brent K. Marshall Paper Award from the Environment and Technology Division of the Society for the Study of Social Problems.
Congratulations Erika!
