The Center for Sustainable Futures is excited to announce its membership in the newly established Climate School Earth Network: Climate Education for a Resilient Future. This initiative, known as Earth Networks, is set to provide a robust framework for fostering interdisciplinary collaboration across Columbia University. Its primary goal is to facilitate innovative approaches to research, education, and tangible impacts in areas closely tied to climate, sustainability, and the future of our planet.

The new Earth Network unites a diverse array of researchers and practitioners hailing from 14 different units within Columbia University, including schools, programs, and centers. This broad spectrum of expertise and experience promises a rich tapestry of perspectives, ultimately enhancing the Network's ability to address critical issues. Heading this three-year working group are three leaders: Dannie Dinh (International Research Institute for Climate and Society), Radhika Iyengar (Center for Sustainable Development), and Laurel Zaima-Sheehy (Columbia Climate School). Together, they will guide this collaborative effort towards meaningful progress.

With this exciting development, the Center for Sustainable Futures is poised to extend the reach and influence of its research in the realms of climate change education. Our participation in the Network will enable us to better understand and address the driving forces and barriers to effective climate education.
